The café’s menu may be compact, but it offers a selection that satisfies a range of cravings. For a true taste of indulgence, try their renowned avocado toast—each slice lovingly piled high with a generous layer of velvety avocado, sure to elevate your breakfast experience. And if you’re in the mood for something hearty, don’t miss out on the beef roll, which boasts a genius filling that is bursting with flavor.

The ambiance at Shed Café is inviting and casual, with a seating area that accommodates both indoor and outdoor dining. It’s a perfect spot to sip on a cup of their superb coffee and watch the world go by—the kind of place that invites you to linger a little longer. One customer, Louis Cornell, captures this feeling perfectly in his review, praising the café staff for their attentive service and the 'best cappuccino' he has ever had. It's these little touches and the vibrant personalities of the staff, including a standout barista with a bubbly demeanour, that create a lasting impression on every visitor.

Moreover, the passion for quality does not stop at coffee; their pastries are described by Adam G as nothing short of mouthwatering. From flaky croissants to decadent muffins, each treat is a visual and culinary delight. Patrons find solace in the café's comfortable environment, even during the bustling Home Show events, showing just how resilient and welcoming this place can be.

With all this considered, Shed Café is more than just a typical café; it’s a place where communities gather, conversations flow, and memories are made over good food and drink. Whether you’re just passing through or have time to spare, make Shed Café your next stop to enjoy exceptional service and delicious offerings in an atmosphere that feels uniquely Melbourne.

Our experience was good here despite the cafe being under serious pressure from the rather large Home Show crowd. Our avocado toast was fine and came with a really decent layer of avocado. The beef roll too had a genius filling and good flavour. Our coffees were respectable too and the service was friendly. Mighty good all round for a cafe with limited predation space

Was attending conference at the centre and had extra time on my hands. Decided to get a coffee and received great service by a lady. I did not get her name but she had a distinct yellow hair that matched her distinct bubbly personality. She was all smiles, and to top it off it was one of the best cappuccinos I ever had in Melbourne. Would definitely come back

The Shed Cafe located just inside the Melbourne Exhibition Centre is a recent (June 2016) addition to MCEC and offers visitors as well as those working there a convenient place to grab a coffee and mouth-watering pastries without having to wonder afar. The coffee is good but the mouth-watering pastries are better lol. There's a small seating area along side the cafe as well as an outdoor seating area where you an sit and enjoy in the spectacular Yarra River and city backdrop views over their coffee. Personally I think the prices at the Shed Cafe are on the high side but the service is great and the staff is very friendly.
